The Contour Lift/Contour Thread Procedure
What It Is:
A Contour Lift is procedure is used to elevate sagging tissues in the brow, cheek and midface areas. It can be used to reshape the brow to create a prettier arch; it can also soften the appearance of jowls. It is a stand-alone procedure as well as an appropriate complement to Botox, Dermal Fillers, Chin Implant, Neck or Jowl Liposuction and Laser Resurfacing.
How It Works:
Local anesthetic is injected, and incisions are made near the edges of the area to be lifted. Needles are then inserted and Contour Threads are drawn under the skin in opposite directions to create proper tension. The notches, or barbed sutures, adhere to the facial tissue, smooth out sagging and provide a lifting effect.
